COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

In short: A textbook example of a caramelized fruity resinous IPA. Good beer
How: Bottle 330ml. Consumed fresh a few days after purchase from a Swedish Systembolaget
The look: Clear deep golden body topped by a medium beige head
In long: The medium intensity hoppy nose is fruity hops (mangos, grapefruits, lemon zest, apricots) with hops resin. Taste has a typical but always pleasant toasted caramelized malts, very clean body, not too much caramel, fresh baguette bready sensation. And of course a generous amount of fresh fruity hops (mangos, grapefruits, lemon zest, apricots) with medium resinous character and also some green pine-needles. Bitterness level is pretty high and it is a bit sticky/resinous, tasty but not super-refreshing. This is once again a Swedish textbook example of the style, and that’s how I’ll remember my pub crawling and bottle shopping in Sweden, lots of expertly brewed quality clean beers, textbook examples that do not “try anything”. Very good beer even though I’ve probably had 50 very similar ones before. Another good beer from Oppigårds, one of the most popular micro in Swedish, a country where 4 out of 5 people make up of vast majority of the population.

Nice golden colour with thick lasting white head. Smells hops. The taste is rather hoppy too and the palate is soft. I wouldn’t call it my favourite IPA but definitely one to consider. Overall approved!

Bottle from rlgk, thank you! Sunny yellow color with a decent head. Floral aroma, grassy, with fruity orange. Flavor is defined by orange and citrus peel, with a decent maltiness, which evokes no signs of being sweet, but adds an enjoyable, underlyling complexity. Actually not too bitter either, but bitterness is recognizable, still, not as present as the fruit aromas. Fruits stay on the palate for a longer while, especially orange, along with an enjoyable, subtle bitterness. Easy drinkable but not boring at all, overall impression of the beer is very convincing, it is very balanced and still got a convincing character.

Bottle at home, 29th March 14, imported from Sweden this week. Stunning beer, crystal clear, copper colour, aroma, floral hops and some strong grains, nice. Palate is perfect. Taste is grainy, orange slightly sweet, great and highly drinkable liquid

Copper, thick white head. Aroma is semi weak, some citrus, some mango & grapefruit, but mostly. it’s flowery, Very balanced taste, a maltbody which is a bit heavy but same time light, slightly watery, hop is dominant and gives a flowery taste with some grapefruit input, medium bitterness, high drinkability, but a slight leather taste and a bit watery, too much specialty grains (?).

Tried this a number of times, all the way from it’s beginnings as a spring ale. An excellent pale ale, one of the best and more balanced than some of it’s more hyped counterparts.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, orange, citrus and hint of strawberries. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Klar bärnstensfärgad vätska med stort ljust skum. Doftar kraftigt blommigt.
