Oppigårds Bergsman is a newly developed lager beer. We continue to use English malt even though it's a lager beer. On the other hand we have used almost exclusively Czechish hops. The fermentation has been done at a low temperature, around 10C, which adds to a clean malt flavour that is balanced by the chracateristic floweriness from the Saaz hops.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Hazy bright gold with a thick, robust white head. Clean grains with dank, pungent pot-like skunky hops. Loved it!

Strangely has almost a banana aroma to it. Full bubbly head. This is nice. Plenty of hops in this, a tast dry finish. Good stuff.

Tap @ Bishops Arm Stockholm. Another random selection from their tap list. Cloudy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Fairly citrusy, a bit herbal/earthy aroma. A touch metallic, earthy, herbal hoppy, tangerine citrusy, a bit tropical fruity flavor with an herbal, bitter finish. Ok, but I didn’t like the metallic note.

Bottle. Well-Hopped Lager. Amber beer with a cream head. Light malt and light earthy aroma. Pine and woodsy flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Woodsiness and caramel linger with pine and light grass.

Pours bright golden with a thin wispy white head. Notes of herbs, crackers, pils malt, light resins, bready and noble hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A very well made lager.

500ml bottle from Belmont Station pours slightly hazy golden orangeish color with a finger and a half of white head that left some thin spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is lightly toasted malts and grassy/flowery hops. Taste is light toasted malty sweetness with a modest hoppy bitterness from the Saaz hops. This is medium bodied and nicely carbonated leaving a nice feeeling on the palate. Overall, quite a decent offering from this brewery and would like to try more.

From tap @Tre Små Rum, Göteborg. A layer of blond bubbles, resting on a deep gold colored body. Grassy, floral and light herbal hop nose. Light to medium malt body, grainy with faint toasted bread. Properly hopped. Lively in the mouth. Mild grassy bitterness linger in the finish. A pretty good Czech-style lager.
