Oppigårds usually has solid, strong aroma. The ’indian tribute’ and ’amarillo’ (except for that period a couple of months ago) are excellent beers from this brewery. This also has nice aroma, slightly less hoppy than The other two. More malts. Nice bitter beer. Was hoping for that piney taste bit its actually nice that it stays bitter. Quite refreshing after a jog. Could have it again, but its not exciting.

Clear brown with beige head. Bready, malty aroma with some caramel and brown sugar. Pretty hoppy for a brown ale but still with some malty sweetness, chocolate and coffee.

330ml bottle provided by Gaute, bought at Systembolaget Luleå. Shared with Finn at a tasting session. Deep, dark brown coloured body. Frothy, off-white head, good lacing. Smell of earthy and brown malts. Herbal hops and semi-sweet, brown malty flavours, hints of chocolate. Smooth bittersweet finish. Soft in the mouth. Satisfying brown ale (Tromsø 29.05.2013).

Draft @ The Rover, Göteborg. Acajou, col beige fin.

The aroma is good. Almost a little chocolate flavor over it. Very special taste but still okay. Clearly worth trying. Follow me @ Kung av öl / King of Beer @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle, 5.5%. Clear brown colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is roasted and slightly spicy with a sort of aniseed mouthfeel. Good bitterness.
