4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Probably the best swedish beer on swedish systembolaget at the moment. Aromas are an explotion of hops. Pours amber. Very nice bitterness and fully hopped flavors.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 33 cl. Amber, slightly hazy, with an off-white head. Kind of looks like a blend of freshly squeezed tropical fruits.
Great aroma, mango, pineapple, pine, resin. Taste is pretty much the same, with a heavy, yet creamy smooth, bitterness. Medium body, creamy, smooth mouthfeel. The best (commerially available) Swedish DIPA I´ve had to this day. Please make this one a regular offering!

Appearance: amber colour, medium white head, lacing.
Flavour: big bite! Lots of grapefruit and resin bit astringent and warming finish. Then comes the tropical fruit, mango, passionfruit and oranges.
Mouthfeel: Small lively bubbles.
Total: Swedens best DIPA?

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Systembolaget, Stockholm, Sweden. Aroma is rich, one of the most intense I have ever experienced, filled with pine and tropical fruits, loads of it. Pours a quite clear, almost orange colour with a thick white foam. Taste is amazing, there is so much flavour in this beer, loads of bitterness but balanced by a huge malt body, perfect balance. Full bodied, thick and almost oily with average carbonation, long bitter finish. I feel a bit sad that this beer isn’t one of Oppigård’s standard brews, considering it’s their best.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wonderful hoppy aroma with lots of pineapple juice, citrus and some grass/hay. Opaque orange color, fairly small offwhite head w ok lacing. Taste is sharp hoppy bitterness, it’s almost overpowering. Lots of grapefruit, although not as pleasantly fruity as the aroma. Also little bit of sweetness. Long lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium body & carbonation. Oily texture.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2011 On tap at Man in the Moon. Cloudy, deep amber liquid with small off-white head. Hoppy aroma with notse of grapefruit, citrus, pine but also a quite nice malty base with caramel and similar notes. Taste is (for the style) medium bitter with nice malt base and nice dryness. Medium bodied with OK carbonation. Quite refreshing for a DIPA. Well done!
Re-rating 20110808, this time from bottle. Clear, amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of tropical fruits, peach, grapefruit, pine, mango, spruce needles and some caramel malt. Taste is also nicely fruity with light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness with nice dryness. Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation and light alcoholic burn. This one’s really good, a lot better than the previous batch. Great value for money, 23 kr ($3.5) is, in Sweden, unbeatable for a DIPA this good.
