The aroma resembles the hand sanitizer I use in the kitchen--Juniper hand santizer--which disturbs me. I also detect celery, grass, metal, red licorice, grain, and the overall smell of a horsebarn. This is hilarious considering the beer comes from Dalarna. The mouthfeel is slick with the consistency of carbonated water. The taste? The hops are front and centre. Hoppier than any representation of the style I’ve had. It’s almost like Nils Oscar’s India Ale in some respects, but with winegums and lemon added in. The aftertaste is extremely copper. A solid brew, even if the aroma put me off initially. The best example of the style I’ve had.

A distinctly hoppy ale, with an aroma of pine and citrus. The flavour is malty with some malt, a clean hop profile and a nice bitterness. A fine and wellbrewed beer.

500 ml bottle. Very cloudy orange/golden beer with a fast fading white head. Aroma is lightly malty with a light wheaty character and a hint of peach/apple esters that remind me of Coopers Pale Ale. There is a bit of light earthiness and mineral crispness that lends the beer a certain rusticity, but it isn’t any sort of farmhouse ale that I’m familiar with. Flavour is lightly earthy with a peachy/pear fruitiness. It’s a decent quaffing beer.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a nice white head. Hoppy aroma with some citrus notes. Flavour is unbelivable nice with grapefruit, citrus and some apricot. Quite dry, yet refreshing mouthfeel. Good beer, but not the best from Oppigårds and it tends to be different from bottle to bottle - my latest one wasn’t on the absolute top, though the one I had last spring was really great.

I buy everything that says "farmhouse" on the label - I need to learn to stop doing that - hazy golden, fizzy beer, with a quickly fading head - aroma of peach, apricot, minerals, some skunky character, earthy notes - hard water, drying mineral mouthfeel - stale hoppy flavor - some mildly fruity notes - long lasting herbal bitterness in the finish - remarkably unremarkable.

Golden beer with a lasting white head. Exotic fruits, apricot hops and almond aromas. Weak malty flavour, some fruity hops leading to a bitter finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours a golden colour with a white head. Refreshing aroma with a distinct notes of citrus caramel. Flavour is dominated by the hops and a very, and I mean VERY, distinct metallic flavour/mouthfeel. Weird! You can also taste some tart citrus caramel. The finish is dry and quite bitter with loads of metal! Oppigårds know how to make better beer than this. Oppigård kan göra bättre öl än detta.

33 cl bottle. Pretty clear amber with a fair amount of almost white head. Hoppy aroma, some grain, grass and metal. Nothing special so far, but drinking it is a delight. Sweet taste, hoppy, bitter finish.
