A shy bitterness balanced with just enough sugar. Restrained aroma. It doesn’t go all the way.

330 ml bottle. Orangey golden colour with a really nice looking haze. Unfortunately the white head is really small and the opposite of creamy. Nutty sweet vanilla aroma. Quite subdued. Crisp bitterness at first. Flavour is very deliciously grainy. Floor malted maris otter comes into mind. Delicious soft maltiness. Very little hop aroma, but a nice distinct, gentle hop bitterness that lingers in the finish. Could have used a little more carbonation. That might have helped the head too.

Bottle. Good looks. Grapefruity hops in aroma. Lots of malty grains to back up. Well balanced. Like to see this unpasteurized and unfiltered.

Clear golden with a medium sized white head, average retention. Very strong and fresh flowery citrus aroma, with smooth caramel too. Some grapefruit also comes through to complement the caramel and flowery hops in the flavour. Medium bitterness and a hoppy aftertaste.

Furseth (1947) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2006
Bottle:Deep yelow colour with a big creamy head. Aroma of fruity, hopy toffe and abit of caramel in the end. Flavor is hopy, fruity and a bit of a sparkling feeling on the tung. Dry medium bitterness in the finish. Medium body. Is this a golden Ale or it is a UK kind of IPA?

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2006 Oh my, you’re missing all the great stuff. Aroma: a fine flowery and very fresh hopscent, tempting malt, creamy fruityness, caramelized sugar. Vaguely of vanilla, juniper berry and pine. Dry lavender. Appearance: Rustic golden towards amber, a perforated cream colored head on top that just lies there and looks strange. Flavor: Good, full-bodied bitterness, very well balanced, a hint of soapyness which is wonderful, all in all very good. Palate: Good, rough, full-bodied and easily drunk!

#15 on the 2006 Europe tour at the Man in the Moon, Stockholm--Gold color with a large, frothy head that left quickly. The aroma a typical citrusy hops smell. The taste had a hoppy finish and a fruity middle.
