(Bottle, 0.5 l, from Alko, 20120907) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, caramell, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. A good example of the style with stronger flavours than the oktoberfestbiers usually show.

TET (1658) - FINLAND - SEP 7, 2012
A yellow beer with an almost medium and white head. Aroma is pure and malty, slightly sweet, wet grass and hint of aromatic fruits. Taste of biscuity malts, hint of sweetness, then great and grassy hops, bitterness is tastefull with long aftertaste. Medium bodied, fresh and style like to drink. Nice beer with lot of hops these gives a something special to this beer.

50 cl bottle. BBE 02/2013.
Pours clear golden color with a small head. Aroma of sweet hops, grass, mild malts, goose berry bush and some cellar notes. Flavor of hops, mild fruits, toffee, hay and some herbs. Nice and hoppy but definitely an unconventional oktoberfest.

lusikka (6267) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 7, 2012
500 ml bottle.
Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma of malts, some bread, floral notes and grass. Flavour is really bitter with grassy hops, some citrusy notes, bread and mild honey-like sweetness. Medium bodied, dry mouthfeel and a dry, nicely bitter finish. Obviously not the most common Oktoberfestbier out there, but I like the bitterness here.

Svesse (6162) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 12, 2012
(Bottle) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with orange, crisp-bread, peaches and floral, grassy hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with citrus peel, bread and grassy hops in a finish with a certain bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. More dry and citric than its German cousins, but a nice and tasty beer.

Darker shade of blond. Nice malt aroma. Good malt flavor, with cereals accents, and strong bitterness. A powerful, strong Lager, too bitter to be an Oktoberfest, and therefore better.

Bov (9552) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 16, 2012
courtesy of Per - cloudy blond-orange beer with a poor foam left; the nose shows a fair flowery and fruity hoppiness; quite full-bodied and tasty; assertive bitterness and a dry flowery/fruity hoppy finish - pretty nice

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
