krumbum (402) - truckee, California, USA - MAY 6, 2013
A choco-nut smell. So dark it can block out the sun with a medium viscosity. Taste starts out sharp nutty but ends with coco undertones and fades nicely. Light and wet on the palate for a dark beer. Over all a nice take on a porter.

3fourths (7799) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 3, 2012
bottle, unfiltered. deep brown body with a small mocha colored head. black patent malt consumes the nose (charcoal, soy sauce, licorice, ink). rich, sticky, chewy and somewhat oily texture; medium-high bitterness; medium-full body; some burnt grain astringency; medium-low carbonation with soft froth across the middle as the body thins across the back in a drying finish. residual oiliness coast the mouth with inky wood char and burnt clack currant esters.

AirForceHops (2717) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 26, 2012
Bottle purchased @ Julio’s Liquors for $6.59 and worth every penny. Pours dark brown to black in a snifter with fast dissipating tan head. The taste is roasted with coffee, milk chocolate, caramel, and a light hop to give it a just a touch of bitterness. Medium body leaning on the fuller side. It was a nice desert beer and was perfect after dinner. Maybe this beer has changed over time because I don’t understand so many poor ratings. It truly tasted above average and I would drink it again.

I love this one. Dark, strong coffee flavors coming through, yet light for the type of beer. A great find.

Pours black with virtually no head retention. Lightly roasted aroma. Fuller mouthfeel. Bold spicy taste, cardamon, a tad of ginger. Very good drinkability.
