0,5 l bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm. Small, creamy, brown head on a deep mahogany body verging on black. Good lacing. Leather, roasted notes, coffee and liquorice on the nose. roasted, toasted light wooden and bitter flavors with liquorice and dark dried fruits present. Full body. Smooth like velvet. nice roasted finish and a dry tongue.

(50cl bottle) Courtesy of Blomster. Pours a tall head atop a opaque body. Nose is smokey and sour milk. Very gritty bitter coffee flavor, some chocolate shavings. Interesting. Reminds me of Scotch Irish’s sour porter. I like this.

draft at Blue monk, Buffalo. nice chocolatety & roasty aroma. burnt coffee, roasted malts with a strange twang in the finish, not very comlex but flavorful

Black with a big brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, milk chocolate and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 131111

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2011 500 ml bottle shipped in from Per had in Germany and thanks goes out to Per. Pours a completely black with a light brown head. Very burned cough suryp and coffee aroma. Nice rich and full body with sweet and burned coffrr malts, vanilla and tartness. Has a light malt bitterness in the palate. A nice desert beer. Good.

Black of color with a brown head. An aroma roasted malt, coffee, bitter and dry. A flavor of roasted malt, coffee, weak sweets, weak prunes and a nice dry finish.

Det kan låta lite fjantigt men den här ölen ligger lite dåligt i munnen tycker jag. Men det är smaken som räknas och den var trevlig även om det var lite.för mycket kaffe för min smak. Eller snarare om kaffesmaken ska vara dominerande vill jag ha en kraftigare och mustigare kropp. Men det här var en trevlig upplevelse och det är en bra smak med tanke på den låga alkoholhalten.

Draught at Akkurat. Almost black body, tan head. Nice complex nose, raisins, coffee, maltiness. Creamy coffee taste, slightly sharp and sourish near the finish, quality roastiness. Not bad, cool enough!

Aroma rich scent with notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and some licorice. But in the fragrance there is also a sour and vaguely smoky flavor that is not so nice. This flavor is also in the taste, it is even so that it forms the greater part of the taste. The lovely notes of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate that’s in fragrance occurs only vaguely in the taste, which also is a bit thin. I have to say that the beer is a big disappointment, especially since it is brewed by Oppigård which I think is Sweden’s best brewery.
