Draft@ The Rover! Black colour, with a nice brown head. Aroma was dominated of caramelly, fruits, vanilla,, coffee, Dark Choclate,Wet Jeans(?),Brown sugar. Flavor is almost the same here, coffee, vanilla, smouth dark choclate dominates the mouth feelings, Nice medium to full body, and a medium to long fruity/choclate finish. Well Done!!

Bottle from SB 141224. Pitchblack with a rather weak dark beige head. Lovely aroma with dark cocoa, licorrhize, and heavy roast. Nice dry sweet palate with cocoa, espresso, and lots of caramell malt. Yet another perfect Oppigård. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Thanks Jacob: Shaker: Black beer. Dark vanilla creamy brown head. Aroma: liquorice, malt roast, some liquorice, laurel, some soy, some coffee, hint of marzipan with more dark dried fruits and a light smokey tint. Flavour: dark chocolate, bitters, liquorice, molasses, brown sugars, dark roast, some soy, some dried dark fruit, laurel, coffee... Aftertaste is dark roast, good bitter, laurel, roast, light soy. Low carbo, close to silky mouthfeel, close to full body. Darkness as it should be, well done!

På fat. Smak och doft av chokladpudding, krämig karamell, malt, mörk frukt, nötter, vanilj, kaffe och rostade toner. Krämig, rund, len, välbalanserad, smakrik med fin chokladbitterbeska. Efterrättsöl.

Deep oily black, thin creamy & sticky light brown head, bit lacing, looks nice. Rich bittersweet aroma, oily malty, salty licorice, ripe dark fruits, bit bonfire and dark chocolate. Soft round feel, oily, medium body, well roasted, sweet, long bitter roasted finish. Good one, lots of nice pure flavors with nuances, good balance. Oiled my engine well!

Rye bread, dark chocolate, malty flavor. Brown foam and black body and settles to a dark pool. Very smooth drink, goes down like a cappuccino.

Many thanks to Emil for the bottle! Pours an oily, black color, with a small, stable, brown head. Smells of roasted coffee, slightly bitter, grassy hops, toffee and bakers chocolate. Hints of syrup and honey lead to a sweeter nose, with lots of hops and cold pressed coffee beans underneath. Has a fitting lower carbonation, and a medium body. Tastes of earthy coffee and slightly smoked malts, together with molasses, chocolate and honey. Hops add a gentle bitterness with tobacco and scorched malts, leading to a slightly bitter overall taste. Cream is big in this though, highlighting the sweetened chocolate. Finish is all about creamy coffee, syrup, honey and burned malts, accompanied by a pleasant bitterness. Wow, incredibly versatile beer, artfully put together. All flavors are recognizable in a pleasant, well balanced way, with coffee finding a worthy counterpart in earth and honey.
