Amber with an off white head - good malt aroma with some caramel and there is some hop there as well - good malt body with some caramel, then the hop takes over with a nice bitterness that leads to a dry end - nice lingering hop dry finish - this was good

Paid $2.99 for a 500ml @ Nikki’s Liquors, Providence, R.I. Lager glass has a dark brown with some pretty ruby highlights. Really strange nose of leather, roasted malt and spices. English malt and or hops are in this for sure. Taste is more on the malty side with light sweetness, light bitterness and spicy notes. Secondary Earthy herbal notes. Hints of toffee. Light notes of fruit with that strange leather coming through in the taste as well. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall, an very interesting English Winter Ale.

New Beer Distributors, NY 50cl ($5.95): Pours murky brown with a beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, a bit of hops and some yeast. Taste is a little sweet, with some earth. Mostly very malty. Kind of like a brown ale mixed with an ESB in my opinion. Hardly a strong ale though. Nice though.

Bottled 500ml. -Clear amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, pleasant caramel hoppy/fruity nose. Sweet malty, pleasant fruity hoppy and mild caramel taste with notes of grapefruit in the finish. Pleasant but maybe a bit to intensive hoppy notes.

Super carbonated. Deep red pour with a thick off white head. Aroma is very light. Hint of grain. Taste is full of barley. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. This beer is so carbonated that the taste is little lost.

Brouwerij (957) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 3, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2013 Bottle. Pours a copper-red with two fingers of rocky, coarse tan head. Decent retention and significant lacing. Aroma is hoppy, malty, caramel, toffee. Flavor mildly hoppy up front, fading immediately into strong malt tones, nutty, peated malt, caramel, toffee, slightly bitter finish. Soft carbonation and medium body. A very malty beer, not sure what makes it a strong ale though. A pretty good winter brew.

Bärnstensfärgad öl med gulvitt livligt skum. Doft av karamell, kavrin och en aning av citrus. Humlen är mer påtaglig i smaken tillsamans med en lätt kryddighet.

Fatehunter (1754) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Two fingers of tan head on a copper colored body. The smell is candy, wet grain and lemon. The taste is a moderate bitter and malt mix. A little unbalanced. The sweetness comes through stronger beginning to middle with dry bitter ending. Moderate carbonation and medium body with a slight sticky feeling. An enjoyable drink.
