2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
16.9oz bottle from Wine Source, Baltimore for a mere $2.99. Maybe it’s on the older side, but that’s irrelevant since I don’t know if it ages well and have nothing to compare it to.
A: Light brown, but barely so. Appears amber from certain angles. Super lacing.
S: Somewhat woody, sweet, and mild sourness. I’m not all that great at picking out individual scents, but there is a lot going on here.
T: More malty than anything, but the problem is that there is not much going on. Reminds me of Spanish Peaks Winter Cheer only milder. Nuts and caramel I guess.
M: Smooth, a bit bubbly at first, but that dies down toward the end. Refreshing nonetheless.
D: Again, very smooth so it’s easy going down. But I’m not sure I would want another one because it’s a little too boring.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours brown with a hint of orange at the edges. Medium tan head and good retention. Aroma is fruity, almost lemony with some alcohol bite. Cloves and malt. None of this is particularly pronounced. Flavor is bubbly and underwhelming with some citrus hops and alcohol. Spice note is so subdued, that the beer seems to lack something. Wished for more, but did not get it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Super carbonated. Deep red pour with a thick off white head. Aroma is very light. Hint of grain. Taste is full of barley. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. This beer is so carbonated that the taste is little lost.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Aroma was grain and toast. Red body when held to light. Good off white head with some lacing and head retention. Flavor was old stale beer with bitter in the background and malted wet grain. Palatable because I drank it all.
