500ml bottle. Pours a dark cloudy brown with a huge long lasting creamy tan head. Very good head retention and lacing through out. Aroma of dark roasted caramel malt, dark fruit, espresso and cacao esters fill the senses. Taste is roasted dark caramel malt, espresso beans and cacao, a bit of dark fruit with some mild bitterness. Palate is a full body, creamy texture with mild carbonation. Finish is of roasted dark caramel malt, yeast, espresso beans and cacao, some dark fruity notes ending has some mils bitterness with some lingering roasted espresso flavor. Overall a very good, flavorful and enjoyable brew, nice.

Its head builds up tall and foamy. It is firm and rocky, light tan color and slow fading. A small thin cap hangs on till the very last sip. On the way down the glass it leaves some nice rings of lace. The body has a deep, very dark reddish amber/old copper color with some visible carbonation. The aroma has a modest presence of spicy/herbal hops with a hint of holiday spices and something citrusy. The flavor has a solid hop presence with citrus and spicy/leafy notes. The hops are supported by a mildly sweet and dark bready maltiness. Within it are also notes of brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. In the finish hop flavor picks up and adds dryness and bit of bitterness. The body has a medium to full feel with a slick smooth texture and active tingly carbonation.

Nice dark ruby, thin head. Fruity floral hops in the nose. Sweet buttery flavour with a lovely dry finish. Didn’t expect much, but this is excellent.

Pour is a dark red with a large white head. Aroma is full of oily hops and some roasted malts. Flavor is toffee and caramel with some earthyness and finishes bitter. After the swallow it leaves a coffee taste on the tounge. A soild beer for winter sipping.

Dark mahogany color with creamy tan head. Nice lacing and head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, light coffee, bread and slight pine note. Taste is of toffee, biscuit malt with bitterness that balances malt flavor nicely. The finish is slightly dry but an excellent satiating brew. Well done.

Good beer with a woody and moderately bitter profile. The beer pours a dusky red with a big, puffy light tan head. The aroma is sweet and moderately malty. There are a bunch of interesting hop smells in it, floral, herbal, citrus. The flavor is bitter and rather dryer than expected. The malt is a slightly sour nutty, caramel presence. It’s an interesting winter beer that I would definitely try again given the chance.
