OKBeer (1104), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Mar 25, 2008 12 oz bottle from Lueken’s in Dunedin. My mother picked this up for me in response to my request for "a beer from Florida". A miss on Florida, but I haven’t had one from SC either, so good effort Ma! Golden colour with a fully diminishing creamy white head. Orange blossom honey, grainy, citrus, and floral aroma. Toasty, lightly acidic flavour with a light grassy and citrusy bitter finish. Light bodied, fizzy mouthfeel. Average, but not unpleasant.
CoachJT (21), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Oct 11, 2008 Draft Pour at Liberty Taproom. Light sweet aroma, golden amber color. Not much of a pilsner taste, but a quality beer nonetheless. The honey flavor is fairly subtle. Very refreshing in hot weather! BorksBabe (79), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 14, 2008 A very nice beer. The aroma is of citrus and a hint of sweet honey. Appearance is a golden amber with a VERY thin head. Flavor is much like most citrus/honey beers... very smooth palate. Overall.. I like it! NachlamSie (1387), Tennessee, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle into a pilsener glass. The pour is typical clear yellow, though a pretty neat white head floats on top. Orange and honey are surprisingly noticeable in the aroma. The orange seems more like a suggestion while the honey seems very real. Neither of these notes is overbearing and some predictable modest malty notes are present. I was just starting to appreciate the aroma until I took a sip. It takes on something which reminds me of watered down soda with a slightly sour finish. Natural honey flavor comes into play somewhere in the middle and is probably my favorite thing about this beer. Hops are nearly absent in the tasting experience. This is not much of a pils. I definitely feel it derives most of its character from the use of honey. Give me some aggressive hopping on this sucker to round out the sweetness and I’d be happier. Also, I disagree with their claim of a "dry. . .beer". jeremytoni (589), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Aug 23, 2008 From a bottle poured a clear golden colr with a fair amount of head. Nice sweet pelsner flavor with a quick finish. BeerFanDan17 (397), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 21, 2008 Nice smooth pilsener style ale. Good balance of wheat and yeasty flavors. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest.
