3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20 AtronSeige (61) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - APR 8, 2013
Frothy white head that recedes quickly. Clear golden yellow with a bit of carbonation.
A slight wet cardboard smell is offsetting. There is a definite sweet-corn aroma. I had a hint of hops when I opened the bottle, but that disappeared.
A slight bitterness on first sip. Slightly sweet with a very sharp end in flavor. A slight grain taste is also found. Fairly dry and crisp. Almost no hops.
Medium-light bodied. Vary bubbly on the tongue.
If the cardboard smell is not standard, then I would consider drinking a few of these in a session.
330ml bottle, poured,

Better than a heineiken but still not anything amazing. Very pale taste that was close to the above mention and Amstel but more toward the Heine flavor.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 ClubGonzo (2696) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2013
Can from ICA Maaseskjæret, Bergen. Pours a golden body with a small white head. Nose is pale malts and mild, floral hops with hints of gooseberries. Taste is fresh floral hops and mild malts, with a dry, grassy finish. No off-notes at all. Very refreshing. Light body, medium to high carbonation. Quite a well-made pale lager, I must say.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ughsmash (6669) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Canned. Poured clear, lighter golden with a tall white head. The aroma picked up pale and corn malts with light grassy accents. The flavor found corn and fruity notes at the core, with some dank, unpleasant stuff and more corn husk around.. finished metallic and tacky. Light-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. just didn’t flow great.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Palme (2250) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 15, 2013
0.44l can. This is a clear golden one with some clear unfiltered particles floating about, and the head is sidesticking, medium sized and quite white. Low and soft on the nose, some traces of corn and paper but it’s just so low that I’m having a hard time identifying it. It’s averagely carbonated and the mouthfeel is pretty much what you can expect. That last part goes for the flavor also. Soft watery and mildly grainy. Some soft traces of a floral bitterness in the finish, but it’s really not much to brag about. Slightly caramel - thin - sweetness in the finish. Having a hard time separating this from any old macro-lager. Boring! 19.01.2013
