COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: An old brand formerly brewed by the now defunct Carlsminde Bryggeri in Nyborg. See also www.borgerbryg.dk
Danish: I mere end 135 år var Carlsminde Bryggeriet en fast bestanddel af Nyborgensernes dagligdag. Bryggeriet der lå ved foden af det romantiske voldanlæg, som omkranser byen, leverede i perioden 1856 - 1993 kvalitets øl til det østfynske folk. Bryggeriets storhedstid var i midten af forrige århundred, hvor brygmester H. Wørmer, førte bryggeriet frem til stor anerkendelse. Dette skete blandt andet via målrettet produktudvikling. Et resultat heraf var bryggeriets mest kendte øl - Carlsminde Borgerbryg - en speciel øl med stor fylde og en unik malt aroma. Øllen blev lavet at en hovedmæsk (malt/vand) og en delmæsk (majs/vand). Denne teknik var med til at give øllet sin specielle smag. I et samarbejde mellem Ørbæk Bryggeri og vinhandler Kenneth Løndahl, er det lykkedes at føre Borgerbryggen frem til fortsat hæder. For at sikre den korrekte kvalitet er brygger Søren Rahr Knudsen, blevet tilknyttet projektet. Søren er gammel brygsvend fra Carlsminde Bryggeriet og har således mange års erfaring med fremstillingen af denne specielle øl. Til såvel gamle og nye brugere af Carlsminde Borgerbryg, ønskes god fornøjelse.

clear yellow, small white head. sweet malty, faint bitterness, rounded aroma. flavor is flowery bitter, spicy, bitter form spices. overall its very bitter, very spicy.

Botella, thanks a bunch for buying this Plovmand. Clear golden, medium white ehad. Bit sweet malty aroma with some hoppiness. Ok mouthfeel The flavour is a bit sweet, malty with a mild bitterness and some grain. Dry pleasant finish.

Bottle. Highy creamy and lasting off-white head. Clear golden body. Mild barley malt aroma with grassy notes and notes of fruit and honey. Malt grass flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation and a long dry bitter aftertaste.

From HJHansen, Odense, DK. Bottled, 130809. Golden with white head. Aroma of malt and corn. Flavor is sweet malt with notes of hay hops.

Bottle, bought @ HJ Hansen, Odense.
Pours hazy golden. Lots of bubbles. A small, bubbly, white head. Aroma is sweet, lots of maize and sweet malts. A bit of grassy hops. High carbonation, a bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is mild. Some sweetness, but it is actually more dry with quite a tad of bitterness. Some chalkiness to it.

Medium white head. Faintly greenish yellow body. Perfumy fruity corn aroma with sugary notes. Dry-sweetish chalky grassy taste. Mid-bodied. Sharpish fizzy mouthfeel. Bitter aftertaste of nothing at all. Thoroughly useless. (0.5l bottle, HJ Hansen, Odense.)

50cl bottle @ Ørbæk. Pours hazy yellow with a small white foam. Nose is yeast, grass and grain. Medium to thin palate. Dry and crisp. Taste is perfume and grass. Ok drinkable!
