330ml bottle pours an amber brown color with a finger and a half of light beige head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate and light roasted grains with some hints of caramel. Taste is a caramel and chocolate malty sweetness with a roasted grain and grassy hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. A well crafted brew for the style, mildly enjoyable.

Nyhavn dark ale at the Pigens Restaurant in Nyhavn The ale poured a light brown color with a beige head. The aroma of toffee greets you. An easy to drink ale served at local Copenhagen Restaurants. Some sweet maltiness in the taste. The ale has a light body and average carbonation. The finish was smooth and clean with no aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly nuttily, dark malty aroma, a touch of toffee, cautious hints of liquorice. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, notes of toffee, a nuttily touch, additional hints of liquorice in the finish. Simple, OK.

50cl bottle given to me as a gift. Poured in a tulip glass. Dark amber with a 2 finger tan head. Decent lacing. Roasted malt, tobacco, fruit and a bit of caramel aroma. Taste has a nice balancing acidity. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Easy drinking dark ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

En god sødlig smag og en vist niveau af nødder smages også. En nem men ikke kedelig brown ale.

Beautiful and rich foam on a rich aroma of malt and hops. The taste is rich of caramel malt and slightly fruity acidity. Furthermore, the clear hint of nuts and a good round hop bitterness. It can easily have the character traits of a brown ale, but then a light one.

This beautiful Brown Ale is made with inspiration from English ales. I certainly think that Ørbæk’s version is far better than the ales that apparently has been its role models. Foam is light brown and persistent, the fragrance is dominated by caramel, malt and nuts. It has a very delicate sparkling taste the notes of malt and hops blends in well with caramel and nuts. The very first mouthful reminds the most of a dark mild ale, but seconds after the start flavor nuances to develop in the moth. The aftertaste is bitter on a soft shape.

Look; fawn huge head, purple red body, thick lacing. Aroma; leafy live hops, modest dark malts, fruits and berries, inviting scents. Taste; soft hops, nutty malts, grass, bread, malted candies, cocoa - leading to a gentle malty finish. On palate fine. Overall; easy brew. Could’ve had more hops to give it more "ale’ish" touch.
