Har smag af jul. Den har smag af karamel og noter af krydderier, tror dog ikke de er tilsat ekstra.

Copenhagen 24/12 2015. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Bearded Santa on the label to remind us that Christmas is approaching. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is quite fruity with sweet citrus fruit, elderberry and peach in front. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste is fairly fruity and tart as well. Sweetness from peach and oranges and sourness from citrus fruit. Medium bitterness in the aftertaste. Apart from the portrait on the label this is not especially Christmaslike in any way. I would say it could supplement a hot summerday quite nicely. Nice and fruity. Might be just what you need in the dark months before Christmas.

The scent is spiced with cinnamon, cloves, orange peel and Christmas spirit. Beautiful rich flavor where fruits aforementioned orange blend with peach. The spicy notes is again clove and cinnamon, besides a little hazelnut and again a lot of Christmas spirit.

0.5 bottle. Cloudy, amber color and an off-white head which leaves not a bad lacing behind. Sweet yeasty aroma containing quite a lot of spices and some sour citruses with an unusual addition of juniper. Taste is sweet as well with the same spices and citrus flavors but it features some bitter tones too which prevent it from becoming dull. Medium body, oily texture, and below average carbonation. Finish is worse than expected and frankly spoils the whole beer a bit; starts nicely and sweet at first but then gradually turns bitter and even leaves a bit of an astringent sensation. Overall the beer starts off well but then is spoiled by an excessive, as for a Christmas beer, bitterness; has more characteristics common to IPAs.

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Hazy golden, rich creamy head. Hoppy grapefruit and tangerine aroma. Sweetish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with tangerine and pine needles. Long bitterness. Christmas IPA?

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow/amber with medium white head. Aroma is sour apples, sour dough, citrus spruce, juniper, wet paint - light synthetic. Taste is medium to heavy bitter and medium sour. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is long and bitter with notes of nuts, bitter grapefruit, lime and milk. In a blind tasting I would have said that this is an IPA rather than a Christmas beer.
