3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 brugmanneke (222) - GERMANY - NOV 20, 2012
(50 cl bottle) Slightly reddish brown, almost clear, with a small beige head that dwindles rapidly. Aroma is full of fruits (raisins and other dried fruits), bramble, port/madeira wine, nuts and caramel. Plus just a hint of grassy/herbal hops for the good balance. Has a metallic touch when served too cold. Taste is medium sweet (as could be expected from an abbey dubbel) with low bitterness. A little sticky, the higgh abv not very well-hidden, and lacking a longer finish, but overall a respectable take at that classic style.

Bottle from a Danish Netto store.
Hazy red/brown.
As the other Ørbæk beers, this is subtle and discreet. Malt, pronounced bitterness. Dark fruit, cinnamon. Beligan yeast profile.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 flemmingwillum (811) - Nysted, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2012
Rating #741, bottle from Troels, shared with him and Joey. A brown beer, slightly hazy, ok head. Aroma is caramel, a bit berries, a bit metal, and alcohol. Flavor is just a copy of the aroma. Medium thickness, but still heavy to drink. Eh!
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 KoNrRiI (223) - Århus, DENMARK - JUN 4, 2012
0.75 bottle. Quite extraordinary aroma, mostly malt-yeasty with some dried fruits scent. Nice dark red color, slightly hazy with nearly no head. Taste is bitter mixed with sour tones and some faint salty background. Medium body and marginally sticky texture. Carbonation is not exactly soft but not usual either, finish rather simple and disappointingly sour, tries to imitate a very lush bouquet of fruits which could make it either ingenious or impair the beer greatly, unfortunately the latter ensues.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Hansen (5435) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 28, 2012
A bit odd, brew-error? Brown coloured and unclear. Has a white head. Yeasty aroma, malty-sweet too. Flavor starts sweet, some herbal, soupy notes, a bit unpleasent. Creamy texture.
