750 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a small beige head. Rather mild aroma of caramel malt with a hint of spices. Flavor is light, sweet caramel malt, a bit spicy, Belgium yeast and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit sweet in the aftertaste. Pretty straight forward and uncomplicated beer but enjoyable as it is.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Foffern (728) - Bodø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Bottle at home. Has a clear amber colour with a off-white and a bit creamy head. Dried fruit in a careful aroma along with leather and some berries, belgian yeast and spices. More pronounced flavours of the same, and some chocolate in the aftertaste. Has a slick and soft mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A nice and balanced belgian style Christmas ale.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper with small white head. Aroma is acidic fruits, yoghurt, malt, coffee and licorice. Taste is light sweet, light acidic and medium bitter towards the end. Body is light oily with smooth carbonation. Finish is a bit short with notes of sour apples, caramel and rye bread.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Palme (2234) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 17, 2012
0.75l corked bottle. This one pours a clear ruby-red body with a medium sized big-bubbled off-white top that quickly fades into a thin islandy and sidesticking thing. On the nose I get wort, sawdust, Christmas cake, some nuts and caramel. Not to exciting really, and not extreme either. It’s average on the carbonation and quite thin - almost watery on the mouthfeel. The taste has tones of sweet crystallized caramel and raisins with some slightly mouthdrying woody dryness. A fruity watery bitterness shines through in the finish. Not the most exiting beer I’ve had, but can imagine this could pair nicely with Christmas food. Next please! Oh, wait, this was a 0.75l bottle and there is no one here but me.. 10.11.2012

75cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Sandaker. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Caramelly and malty aroma with dark dried fruits and hints of spices and citrus. Sweet and caramelly with a fairly balanced bitterness. Flavour is a bit fudge like. Easy to drink and easy to forget.

Luke 4 i Ølkonsortiets julekalender.
Uts: klar, ravfarget, godt med kullsyre og hvitt skum.
Duft: krydret, middels fyldig, tydelig sødme fra malt og noe sitrustoner.
Smak: lite fyldig, noe emmen smak og tynn munnfølelse. Skuffende ettersmak.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ClubGonzo (2695) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is caramel, vanilla, bubble gum, toffee and hints of butterscotch. Sweet, but pleasant. Taste is caramel, toffee, burnt sugar with hints of grass, vanilla and dry leaves far in the back. Medium body and carbonation. A bit harsh on the burnt sugar notes, but otherwise a fairly harmonious, clean and non-offensive Christmas ale. A bit dull, though.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 AshtonMcCobb (1446) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 2, 2012
50cl bottle thanks to Nikolai. Pours amber with a nice fluffy head. The nose has biscuits and a little sweet spice as well as a hint of dried raisins. The taste has more biscuits and dry raisins. The palate is medium bodied and there’s a creamy/tangy texture in the middle section with a dry but refreshing finish. Overall, a nice session strength Christmas ale.
