750 ml bottle. A cloudy reddish body with a nice beige head. Very pleasant aroma of caramel, dry fruit, spices and Belgium yeast. Flavor is sweet, caramel malt, dry fruit, brown sugar, spices and a hint of cherries. Medium body with a fruity and slightly bitter aftertaste. Not particular outstanding, but a fine and balanced Belgium style spicy beer.

Great christmas beer. Aroma is cinnamon and wild berries. Taste is sour, actually this reminds me more of a lambic style beer, rather than belgian. Medium to high carbonated, quite refreshing this one.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, cinnamon and yeast. Sweetish flavour of cinnamon and caramel malt, with some fruity and estery touches. Subtle hints of hops. Mildly sourish notes towards the finish, persisting in the aftertaste. Not a very rich body, actually a trifle watery. Drinkable, but not any particularly memorable experience.

Bottle, 6%. Citric cardamom aroma. Cloudy red/amber/brown colour. Semi-stable tan head. The flavour is citric with a fruity sweetness. Also some spicy cardamom flavour. Seems too citric, almost sour, to begin with but mellows out after a while.

Bottle from superbrugsen enghavevej. cloudy brown, large smooth light brown head. spicy cardemom, malt licorice and faint bitter caramelly aroma. flavor is spicy cardemom, malts, a little pepper, a little bit of fruity notes perhaps from the yeast. In general the spices make a nice foundation and the malty tilt on the beer fits the spices well. Everybody have an opinion on wether overly spiced beer is good or awfull, but this one is pretty damn good, if you had to add a lot of spices to the recipe. Spices are sort of balanced, and beer matches the spices well. Reminds me of some of the spiced italian beers i’ve tasted. If you need an overly spiced, not very alc strong belgian ale, then this cou.dld be an okay choice.
