Lovely beer. Strong but without the alcolhol feel. Lightly bitter aftertaste. Beautiful redish colour. Recommend to food.

75 cl, flaske, 7,0 % ABV, 50 års gave fra Oliver Handschuh - tak! 10. juni 2014. Solidt arbejde. Forholdsvis god lang eftersmag uden at sprænge skalaen.

0.75 bottle. Very dark crimson color and a small, egg batter head. Mixed aroma, quite vinous, dark fruits, caramel, butter, a little toast, and hints of spices. Sweet taste, a lot of caramel and toast, dark fruits, and a touch of licorice. Medium to full body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is much bitterer than the rest; it also features much more licorice. Overall the beer is really good and multifaceted; the swift transition from sweet taste to bitter finish is rather unexpected and spoils the initial experience a little bit, however after a few sips one gets used to it.

clear dark brown, smooth brown head, appears quite velvety and soft. fruity aroma, dried fruits, dates, faint fruity caramel, nuts, raisin. flavor is malty, slightly caramelly, roasted malty, much more malty and hard roasted flavor, compared to aroma, quite high malty and euro hoppy bitterness too. Tastes like craft brew, nice one.

courtesy of Antonio Rey - brown beer; aroma of marzipan and biscuit; some undefined spices; full-bodied, some initial sweetness and a solid bitterness; very dry biscuity maltiness with a lingering hoppiness

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of spices, cinnamon, cedar wood, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, spices, citrus fruits, malt, bread, and dusty hops, as well as hints of alcohol in the finish, which is dry.

Bottle. Pours a nice reddish brown with a moderate brown head and nice lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, brown sugar, spices, hint of licorice. Flavor is moderately spiced sweet malt, with a lot of caramel and a bit of wood. Quite sweet, but solidly a Belgian ale. Pretty decent.
