Dark brown beer with a foamy beige head. Red berries (raspberries, lingon berries) on the nose. Sweet and spicy. Fruit salad, liquorice, coffee. chocolate. Quite good and different but I’d drink this only as a dessert.

0.5 l bottle from Alko. Dark brown colour. Taste is mainly butterscotch with some bitterness. I expected something more chocolate like. Well, this is also OK.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear reddish brown beer with dense off-white head which dissolves quite soon leaving a ring on top of the beer and lacing on the glass. Aroma has sweet fruits, Belgian kind of yeast, raisin, light tartness and malts. Flavor is mostly sweet with syrup, toffee and dark fruits. Finishes with a bite of bitterness, leaving herbs, licorice, sweet toffee and warmth of alcohol lingering for quite a while in the aftertaste. Medium full and slick with heavy carbonation. Kind of something between a dubbel and a bock, not sure which one this actually is. Good for slow sipping.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. A color of reddish brown with a medium-sized, dense and quite well lasting head. Aroma is malty and spicy; dark fruitiness features with rye pudding and some dark bready maltiness. Taste is initially very sweet but balances towards finish. Malty tones dominate with yeasty spiciness adding depth and variety. Raisin, bread and a hint of licorice are present. The palate is smooth and medium to full bodied. Nice sweet and spicy Easter ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brown 50cl abv7.2% bottle as palm-saturday gift to myself, ordered from Alko Muonio to Kilpishalli.
Now label is brighter, and the brew is made of ecological made ingredients.
Hazy red brown body, caramel fudge coloured fluffy head, some lacings.
Aroma; butter, cardamom, sweet scents of caramel malts, hazelnuts.
Smooth confectionery taste, the caramel malts, cardamom, toffee, prune, sweet muffins.
Nice body and balance to palate, harmonic carbonation and a little warmth.
Finishes warm malty, some bitter sour fruits, butter, caramel, toffee, hazelnuts....
This beer is good. It came from Ørbæk Denmark, up to Northern Finland, and was enjoyed
in Tromsø Norway - shared with my wife from Ukraine, and confectionery from Dnipropetrovsk UA.
Let there be peace and low barriers, and life in countries will be more love and fun.
