wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, - MAR 14, 2011
{thoughts} Startlingly malty in the flavor considering the faint aroma; soda-like and a little cloying towards the end.

{elements} Brilliant, light red hue; short, off-white foam. Shy aroma of woolly, bready malts and some caramel and the faintest hint of washed rind cheese. Strong sweetness, moderate acidity, comparatively light bitterness; floral alcohol note, Dr. Pepper-ish confluence of flavors. Bustling carbonation with a carbonic bite, medium-full body, slick texture. 50cl bottle, 2011 edition.

Copenhagen 6/4 2015. 50 cl bottle from Rema 1000. Pours reddish brown with beige head. Slowly subsiding. Aroma is nutty and sugary. Medium carbonation. Taste is bit too sweet. Like rye bread dissolved in sugar water for a couple of hours. Slight bitterness in aftertaste. Way too sweet for my lamb.

Deep dark nutty color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Dried fruit and caramel aroma. Medium + body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation. Bready, dried fruits and caramel in the flavor. Decent enough. Still quite boring.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 100216, from Alko, 20150330) The beer poured deep reddish brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramel, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied and sticky with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, molasses, sugary sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. An excessively sweet brew.
