0,5 l bottle as Pingus Imperial Stout. Pours out nearly black, more than one finger beige foamy head. Malty nose with coffee parts. Taste starts with a lot of coffee, malt with some sweetness in the background. Low carbonated. Long lasting taste. Nice!

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2016 Pour dark black. Beige thick foam good retention. Nose - liquorice, chocolate and roasted malt aromas. Taste dominated by the added liquorice and this dominates and supres the more fragile malt aromas from the speciality malts. The beer is nice but I Prefer RIS without liquorice added.

Er næsten sikker på at dettte er den rigtige øl jeg anmelder, den hedder imperial stout men er nok den samme. En meget fyldig øl, der smager noget kun meget af engelsk lakrids. Godt humlet. Helt flydeagtig i smagen.

Copenhagen 3/2 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Happy penguin kids on the label. Pours opaque black with beige head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is coffee bitter, salty with notes of alcohol and dark roasted malts. Soft carbonation and thick oily palate. Taste is sweet toffee, bitter coffee, raisins, licorice and dark roasted malts. Nice, strong stout which will warm you up on a cold winter Night with a sore throat.

Kolsvart med ljusbrunt skum. Doftar och smakar lakrits, kaffe och choklad. Bra öl och dessutom ekologisk. Inte så fyllig med liten beska

It has a beautiful and very dark brown with a reddish tinge. It is adjacent to the black, but I think that one could imagine the little reddish as it becomes poured. The foam is beautifully light brown, persistent, but not particularly thick crown. It has a clear scent of dark malts and a little yeast mixed with light hops. The taste is slightly mocha and distinctly English licorice. Later felt the hard roasted malt with lots of caramel tones. Only slightly hoppy concludes. Licorice is the most prominent and persistent taste, also in the final. Good, rich mouth feeling tendency to be a little creamy.
