3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BeerBiker (1412) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2007
[Sampled in 2004.] For Pingu & Kængu. Not that bad. Ørbæk yeast and good dark scottish notes. Only one bottle!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 20, 2005
(Bottle 75 cl) Typically flat Ørbæk carbonation and the typical Ørbæk house character although a new yeast has been used for this - a Scotch ale yeast. Very dark, almost mahogany. Sweetish yet with a solid hoppy bite. Quite refined, almost vinous beer. 060704
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ungstrup (26267) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 23, 2004
A red brown beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted bread. The flavor is very sweet though turning a bit sour in the end combined with notes of malt and fruit.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2004
Wonderful brown colour with a reddish glow but a disappointing head. Decent aroma and flavour with some malts, dark fruits, acidity, and perhaps yeast. The initial sweetness is hence being balanced by a mild acidity rather than a "real" bitterness. Definitely not my favourite Ørbæk beer, but better than a lot of the other bland and commercial "wedding beers".
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rauchbier (3394) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2004
Bottle, DBF 2004. Orange bronze, no head and fine condition. Low thin malt in the nose, some citric fruit in the mouth and a developing bitterness in the finish. Nothing special.

Reddish brown coloured. Quite fruity and slightly malty in the aroma and in the flavour. Very mild and slightly sourish.

Brown color with a beige head. The taste is strong malts with a wellbalanced mild palate of hops. Has some nutty notes.

Bottled @ DBF2004: Ruby red coloured. Beige head. Malts and fruits in the aroma. Some spices and a bit sourness in the flaovur. Malts and yeast present. LIght bitter in the end.

Dark copper, low head. Fruity aroma, rather sweet. A bit watery mouthfeel. Strange sour aftertaste. Pretty boring...
