Bottled. A yellow cider with a bit of head. The aroma has notes of wood, brettanomyces, and apples. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, vinegar, apples, and brett, leading to a tart finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

rauchbier (3620) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2011
Bottle, from Waitrose, Lincoln. Pale Gold, shortlived white head and low condition. Pleasant musty earthy oak notes and sweet apple juice in the nose, soft and sweet in the mouth but quite full bodied with some bitter appleskin notes to give balance and a dangerous drinkability. Quite a short finish with some dry skin notes and a faint apple sweetness, and a retronasal alcohol note right at the end to remind you of the strength.

Bright and sparking tight and a bit dry to the nose. A very rustic and beautifully English apple flavour remains perfectly preserved here. This is a lovely cider, lovely.
