Bottle from Waitrose and drunk on the train to Ashford. Clear gold lasting white head. Dry aroma. Dry apple cider throughout. Wow. You don’t tend to get this aggressive dry parching cider in a supermarket. Rather remarkable. I must admit I really like it. Funny as it’s best drink I have had today. Sweet apple fruit and then a dessicating finish. Finish is really good

500ml bottle. One of those ciders I put off opening for a while due to the patronising, truly irritating description and ’pig’ references on the bottle. Open it up however and it’s actually a great cider. Well-balanced with a little touch of barnyard funk, a tang of acidity, a tanic nod and crisp, sweet apple flavours that blossom as you make your way through. Very nice.

Lager looks with a short lived white collar. Aroma of fruit lightly furred with mould; calamine hints, Bramley pie filling. Moderate dryness; light acid, stale oak and sherbet-sprinkled paper.Industrial but drinkable.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear light to medium gold, with persistent trailing bubbles. There is a bizarre strong ammonia scent to it, which overpowers most other aroma, with only the faintest hints of apple coming through. Mild apple skin tartness up front gives way to fairly sweet, fruity apple in the mid-palate. A little banana comes in at the finish, adding to the fruitiness of the cider. This is certainly not a dry cider in my book: it is actually a fairly sweet, commercial-tasting cider. Add to that the unpleasantness of the aroma and it’s not one I’ll be coming back to.

Bottle from Hog & Partridge, St Neots. A light yellow cider with less carbonation that would normally be expected. Lovely aroma of woody funk and fruit. The taste is sweeter than the aroma promises, too much like a commercial keg cider but still nice. Worth drinking for cider-heads.

Countbeer (4301) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - SEP 15, 2013
Bottle: Served in a taster: Some bubbles that disappears quick and leaves a headless cloudy yellow colored cider. Aroma has some fermented apple notes, some withold earthy sour tones, dust, wood and crispy squashed apple vinous notes. Flavour has pretty strong vinous notes, apple peel, some green apples while not sour, some fermented apples, light dust and yeast ish tones and some slight wood hints. Aftertaste is bit dry, light earthy with a more wood present tone and a mix between bitter, sweet and sprinkle of dry sourness... Low to medium carbo, soft but sparkling and a light dry ish mouhfeel, medium bodied and a light creamy ish texture. Very nice!

Bottle shared at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting 2013 - London. Pours clear, pale yellow with a fine, white film head. Pukey apple aroma, sugary rotting fruits. Big sweet flavor with quick dryness and light basement. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, musty, light sweetness, some funky apples. Decent.
