I’ve tried the draught and the bottled - both recommended, although the bottled is a little smoother. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark

Quite dark for a perry. Hefty kerosene aroma that inspires you with fear and respect. Gasoline notes in the flavour. Some parfume is noticable. Finish is very dry. An excellent perry. Fin (3495), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Had this at the National Cheese Festival, Montpellier, Cheltenham, 30-09-06 from the CAMRA Cider and Perry stand. Like some of the others state this is much darker than many other Perries, with a lovely pear aroma taste is quite intriguing it’s quite dry especially in the finish but wonderful pear and fruitiness and some woody notes that keep inviting you back for just another sip, really good Perry. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2004 Quite dark colour for a perry. This has some barnyard in the aroma, but is mainly soft and fruity. Nonetheless, it packs a punch and has plenty of tannic backbone to underpin the fruit. Excellent balance. Nicely mellow. From the barrel at Twickenham Beer Festival 2004.

Very farmyardy, with a very juicy dry pear flavour, it was the last drink of the night, so maybe it was the alcohol speaking, but i really liked this. dj (422), Gloucestershire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2008 On tap. A hazy straw colour. Aroma is light, sweet pear with a underlying trace of sourness. Taste has pears, a fair amount of citric sourness and some sweetness. A very drinkable perry. Sigmund (2306), Hafrsfjord, Norway
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 29, 2005 Cask at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. The perry variety on tap here was simply called "Orchards", as the variety that would be available was not known when the festival programme went into print. ABV was listed as 6.4%, same as the bottled version. But the colour of the perry I drank was considerably paler than the one the raters of "Blakeney Red" seem to have had. I presume the cask perries will vary in colour with the pear varieties that are available at any given time. The one I had was supposed to be "dry", and "made from fruits from renovated derelict orchards". It was actually pale straw coloured and cloudy. Aroma of pears (of course), yeast, and (if you want to be unpleasant:) toilet cleaning agent. Flavour was fruity (of course) - pears, sweeter than expected from an allegedly "dry" perry, hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Not too bad.
