Pint on tap a little while ago at Original Joe’s restaurant pours a bright golden color with a small white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is fresh grains and grass. Taste is a crisp hoppy bitterness with an underlying malty sweetness. Light bodied with some nice carbonation. The best of the brews tried on the evening. Recommended to try.

On tap, Original Joe’s Medicine Hat. Light yellow gold with a finely bubbled white head that leaves behind an embroidery of lacework. Aroma is lightly sweaty and bread. Flavour is clean grains with crisp carbonation and a nice dry lightly hopped finish. This was actually quite good-- the best of their lineup by far.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 cards04 (826) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 20, 2012
Some ok grain and grassy aromas...but otherwise this is dull. Pours golden with fluffy white head.

Shaker at Joe’s 109. Golden and clear. Faint ring of white bubbles on top. Big grant nose with faint grass. Taste has grassy european hops and grainy malt. Dry end, light grains in the aftertaste, hint of grass. Light body, average carbonation. Refreshing.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 dreamflower (343) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 23, 2012
A little bitter, but really not much flavour and kind of watery. Okay appearance, but this was pretty uninspired.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 northropfrye (1352) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 23, 2012
A weak effort here. Usually a pilsener has some hop element, but this, if it has any flavour, is just a bready malts, and scant little of that.
