4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: deeper gold than I expected, largely clear, short and quickly vanishing near-white head. Aroma: typical gose aroma of green apples, lemon zest, cracked wheat, light white wine vinegar, and coriander--that is to say, very enticing. Taste: again, pretty typical gose characteristics, with maybe a bit more salt than usual. Finish: pleasant rush of activated glands at the jawline, lingering lacto tartness over some salt and crackers. Notes: Perfect example of one of my new favorite styles. Where have you been all my life? Bottle from Knightly Spirits, Orlando, Florida.

Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Slightly cloudy straw color with a medium fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and wheat. Light-bodied with flavors of lemons, yeast and herbal wheat. The finish is mildly tart with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Les Vignerons. Didn’t bother to review it properly, but I did like it, a lot. So refreshing and juicy, properly dry and crisp. Not as salty as other goses, but spot on. Moderately acidic/tart. Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Solid.
