COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ritterguts Gose is a top-fermenting, sour and slightly salty tasting special beer of Leipzig. The Gose is an own, very old beer type and does not correspond to the German purity requirement. It is brewed traditionally with coriander and salt - thereby and by the additional lactic acid fermentation her quite special characteristic gets the Gose. It has certain resemblances to the Lichtenhainer beer as well as to the Belgian Geuze.

On draft at Paradiso Dupont in DC. A nice Gose, very clean and crisp and a pop of lemony citrus. Salt does not come through as much as I would like, but some nice malt notes in the back of the palette.

The taste is quite sour as cherries. Sour smell too. Slightly bitter but the acidity is also left in the aftertaste. Still easy to drink. Good beer but pretty mediocre. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Pours two finger of head on a clear light straw colored body. The aroma is fresh baked bread, limes and wet hay. The taste has a mild lemon bitter beginning and quickly moves to a strong sour and tart flavor. The texture is crisp and fizzy. It has an uncommon taste for today’s brews, but it’s quite enjoyable.

0,5l Flasche.

Bottle at Hopfen & Malz. Golden with a fluffy head. Aroma of spice and coriander. Flavour is sharp bitter, a little salt on a long dry acidic finish. Very refreshing.
