COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Cherry Tree cider combines the finest American heirloom apples, which were popular in the United States in the 18th and 19th centuries, with tart cherries. The finished product has the clean, rich flavor of fresh cherries with the depth and elegance that comes from using freshly pressed U.S. heirloom cider apples.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Whole Foods Market - 12 oz bottle. Dark golden with a slight pink twing to it with a bubbly white head. Aroma of cherry juice and a touch of cherry cough syrup. Cherry flavor is very prominent and adds a nice sour touch to the cider. Solid red delicious appllle flavor permeates in the backgrouns with just a hint of fruity bubble gum. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it, Not bad.

Julie say it's a fake apple cherry pie with cough surp that was left in the sun to long. This is definitely something that she will not need again. She gives a 0.4

bottle. Reddish with small head. Tart cherry and light apple. Reasonably well done, though not terribly complex.

Draft at West End Ciderhouse. Pours a reddish gold with a small white head. Apple, cherry, honey, and not much else. I’d say the cherry is sweeter than tart, and slightly artificial - but just barely. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet mouthfeel. Doesn’t compare well to the house ciders at West End. Maybe that’s why they featured it. Those wise guys.

On draft. Pours a clear read with no head. The aroma has cherry jolly rancher notes. Some cinnamon and apple pie notes come come through as well. Sweet and tart taste. Medium mouthfeel.

bottle - This cider has a pinkish color and clearly smells of cherries. The flavor is sweet with cherries dominating the underlying apple cider. "Tart cherries"? I wish it was more tart. To me it’s just sweet. Too sweet. It’s still drinkable but I had a hard time enjoying it.

355ml bottle. PRetty damn nice tart cherry flaovr, cherry pie in the flavor surprisingly with no malt, not super dry but I like it.

Pours a light amber color with pink highlights. Aromas- apple, yeast, but surprisingly no cherry. Taste - here is the cherry! Apple balanced by a really nice pie cherry (Montmorency maybe?) note. Somewhat yeasty, but not overly so. Better than most of the rest of their line IMO.

12 oz bottle- Pale golden red. Carbonation subsides quickly. Cidery scent with a hint of cherry at the end. Very little of the cider sweetness with more of the tart cherry. Neither take over. Very pleasing for a hot summer day.

On tap @ Pi Pizzeria. Rosé pour with a soda-like white head. Sweet cherry juice and apple. Kind of a black cherry soda sort of smell and flavor. There’s a mild acidity to the flavor. Slight yeastiness on the finish. Okay, not spectacularly good or bad.

After strongly disliking the elderberry cider by the same company, I was surprised to find that I liked this one a good deal more. It also was sweeter than I’d prefer, but I didn’t find the sweetness overwhelming here. The cherry had considerable depth and complexity. I don’t know what kind of cherries they use, but they tasted a bit like sour cherries and a bit like wild black cherries. The cherry is strongly evident in the aroma, which I like--good cherries and cherry-flavored anything, in my opinion, is very aromatic. Fairly rich, and on the heavy side for a cider, but not overwhelmingly so. I’d drink this again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice unless there was little else available.
