COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Original Sin was born out of the NYC experience. The founders, all NYC'ers, came to see the need for a superior cider, a cider that was clean and complex with a noticeable bite. The quest to creat the perfect recipe encompassed both day and night. Day was spent in upstate in a winery, tasting, testing and mixing. Nights were spent in NYC bars, getting feedback from bar owners and patrons. The result, Original Sin Hard Cider was released to immediate acclaim from sources as diverse as the The New York Times, Paper Magazine, and Market Watch.

12 oz. White-gold with a smattering of bubbles. Not much aroma, a hint of apple. Flavor is a nice average apple; not bad, but maybe just a little stale. Light body is tingly and sweet, with a little touch of bitterness on the finish. OK, just not so crisp and fresh as other ciders I’ve tried.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear pale yellow with very small white head that dissapates quickly. Very little lacing, low carbonation, and medium/light body. Taste is apple and a hint of alcohol. Average cider.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with almost no head. Not much nose -- and what there is is sharply malic and a touch metallic. Somewhat dry on the tongue, with a definite edge like sharp cheese. Finishes with some honeyed notes. Not bad, but not great.

Very sweet cider but not particularly appley. Not exactly the best of ciders.

Pours a pale yellow with no head. Aroma is all tart fruit, apples and pear. Flavor is very sweet and fruity. Too sweet for me but not bad for a hard cider.

Bottle. Pours a clear very pale yellow, barely any color at all, and bubbles. Sharp apple aroma and quite yeasty. Sweet taste, of tart apples, sugar, and yeast. Lingering sweetness. Decent.

12 oz bottle. I had high hopes for this one, but alas not what I wanted. I’m too much of a fan of Sam Smiths super balanced cider. This one too dry and sharp on the finish, the apples were not as up front, and the flavor was thin. Could have been better.

12-oz bottle from 6-pk bought at corner store by Erica in Brooklyn. Poured into shaker, takes on a light greenish tinge. Mostly transparent. Smells of sweet and sour apples. Tastes more of pears than of apples, though. Medium carbonation for a cider. Very sweet but not as carbonated or apple-tasting as I like for the style.
