3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Quack-Duck (6811) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 7, 2012
bottle, cheers kappldav123! Hazy amber colour, not like the typical pale Pils, large and creamy off-white head, very persistent. Lovely hop aroma with a shy touch of fruit, with an almost Bohemian character. Solid malty base with (very shy) hints of roasted malts, lots of aromatic hops all over the tongue. Shy fruity touch, especially towards the finish. Lingering hop flavours. Smooth palate. A very nice beer, not the typical example of the style, but beautifully crafted.

Bottle at Green week Berlin. Medium amber with a thin head. Aroma is light toast malt. Flavour is quite smoky with a sugary malt base. Palate is long lingering smoke.

1l-bottle bought at a getränkemarkt in Nordhausen. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, not very dry, fine spicy notes. Modest sweet. Finih still mild, a bit spicy-wheaty, quite drinkable. A good one!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2011
(swing top bottle, 100cl, 5.0% abv) Hazy and quite dark for a Pilsener: amber colour with a tanned and short foamy head. Sweet, slightly nutty (cara-)malty aroma with herbal and slightly citric hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Nutty cara-malty taste with herbal, slightly woody and subtle fruity hops; moderately bitter and dry finish with a balanced hops and malt-character. Uncommon but likeable. 24.VIII.11

Bügelverschlußflasche (1000ml): Very deep golden to light amber coloured, creamy stable off-white head; mild caramelly-mineralic nose with a fruity-toasty tinge; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering bitter-toasty finish. Unusual Pils.......
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 DasMollengrab (34) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2011
Radiantly orange in colour, and thus quite dark for your typical German Pils. Soft carbonation. Soft sweetness dominates; mild aromas of dried fruit and ripe apples, hints of smoke. Definitely not what I expected. Interesting, though.

1 L bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge off-white head. Mild roasted malt aroma. Flavour is mild breadish and munich malty. Ends mild acidic and malty.

Litre bottle bought at the brewery, 5.2%. Slow gusher. Clear amber colour, small unstable head. The flavour is OK malty with a hint of smoke. I wonder if the smoke is intended, out of style, but tastes all right. Does not have any other signs of infection except the rather high carbonation.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bierkoning (8944) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2007
Litre swing top bottle, brought by Rob H. from his holiday in Wippra. Light amber color, unusually dark for a pilsener. Bready, light flowery aroma. Malty sweetish beer, full bodied. Flowery hops and the slightest hint of cardemom. Almost fluid bread, this brew.
