833 ml bottle in NOLA. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is of grassy hops and bready malt. Body is light and slightly crisp. Some sweet malt and hint of hops on the palate. Finish is non-existent. Good water replacement.

Light gold color mild flavor and aroma. Reminds me of a slightly more flavorful lager.

KyotoLefty (6739) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 25, 2014
Tap in Naha. Almost no nose to speak of. Light grain and a tiny bit of citrus. Pale golden color. Light, thin, and watery flavor. Almost no flavor either. Not bad, just almost tastes like water. Bit of malt and grain and a tiny bit of bitterness.

Bottle in Okinawa. Dark bubbly yellow. Decent malt nose. Fine body. Mild yeast and hops. Not bad--pairs really with ramen.

sulawang (644) - British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 26, 2014
Visual: Pours rich golden amber with barley any head, a thin layer of micro retention, lots of fast singular streams. Nose: barely anything, a bit of hay/straw. (lvl-2)-pungency Attack: liquid malt sweetness Mid-palate: (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) barley malt, straw, Finish: crisp, trace amounts of hopped bitterness, light clean barley malt finish. Summary: Very clean and nicely sweet. No complexity but a good hot meal beer.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2014 Draught at the brewery. Pale gold, big white head. Aroma is mostly malts, some grass. Flavour has some hop profile but not much. Easy drinking given the weather in Okinawa.

500ml can from Tokyo Liquor Wyndham St pours light gold, grassy mild aroma, taste similar with a slight malty fruity bitter finish, light but enjoyable

ordybill (151) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - SEP 9, 2014
Poured from a large bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- this beer has hints of yeast, hops and malt that can be detected. Appearance- beer pours a pale yellow that is clear and has a one inch white head. Taste- A great hoppy flavor that has great dry finish. Palate- a nice light body with a dry finish that is accented by the lively carbonation. Overall- I may be biased since I loved this beer for years while stationed in Okinawa but I think this maybe the most flavorful Japanese rice lager. If it was available more often I would definitely drink it more in the States.

Jimthechap (1792) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 1, 2014
Pale gold with coarse carbonation and a fluffy white head. Aromas of typical bugger-all lager - dusty grain and some metallic tang. This comes through in the flavour. It could be any international lager from any brewer in any country.
