| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 27, 2005 Light gold colour. Grassy noble hop aroma. Reasonably full body for style. Grassy hops meet grainy malts in a light flavour profile. Not stellar, but far from objectionable. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Feb 27, 2005 "The beer of beers" was a little disappointing. Straw yellow, with faint malt aroma with a bathroom stall note. Flavour was thin and straw like. Swill, Japanese style. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 27, 2005 From a 633 ml bottle. Pale yellow beer, no head at all. Grassy and pissy aroma. Huge skunkiness that is pretty tough to take. Flavour is not bad, but it’s tough getting your nose that close to it. Grassy flavour. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 4, 2004 bit of a mealy aroma, more body than i expected, but still nothing more than a typical japanese lager redletter (8), England does not count | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2004 A bit like Greek wines, this one...tastes GREAT when your there, and dreadfull at home.
Which is probably a good thing - if you could everything just right in the supermarket, why would people travel!
Drink it in the middle of the pacific, with japanese girls and some tempura and you won’t care about the flavour...which is good, because it doesnt really have any. But its so hot in Okinawa, who cares? jefcon (999), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 19, 2004 With an Alka-Selzer head and a clear yellow complexion, this beer is better off served in a stein. The aroma is hoppy and earthy. The flavor is, well, a little mustardy and quite watery. Can’t get a good picture of the ingredients involved here. It’s not dishwater, but the overall impression leaves a lot to be desired. jeffc666 (1889), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 27, 2004 Clear pale yellow with a big foamy white head. The aroma is malty with rice and only minimal skunk. Light flavor rice with some grassy hops and a wee bit of sweetness. Light but not overly fizzy body. Typical of the style and could be much worse. rajendra82 (700), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2004 The beer was a given as a gift to me by a friend of mine in a 633 ml. brown bottle with lots of self serving boasts on the label. The pour had the look of an ultra pale force carbonated mass produced lager. The smell was almost like tap water allowed to flow for a few moments over some cereal grains. The taste was not offensive, but was not anything to boast about. Basically a crisp, dry, grainy flavor with some malty sweetness thrown in. The hops were very light, but were not totally absent. The mouthfeel was light and watery. It is not a beer I’d spend any money on, no matter what the label says.
