Clear pale yellow with a big foamy white head. The aroma is malty with rice and only minimal skunk. Light flavor rice with some grassy hops and a wee bit of sweetness. Light but not overly fizzy body. Typical of the style and could be much worse.

The beer was a given as a gift to me by a friend of mine in a 633 ml. brown bottle with lots of self serving boasts on the label. The pour had the look of an ultra pale force carbonated mass produced lager. The smell was almost like tap water allowed to flow for a few moments over some cereal grains. The taste was not offensive, but was not anything to boast about. Basically a crisp, dry, grainy flavor with some malty sweetness thrown in. The hops were very light, but were not totally absent. The mouthfeel was light and watery. It is not a beer I’d spend any money on, no matter what the label says.

Pale straw gold. Nose sweet, some rice, a bit of berry fruitiness. Flavor is typically slight, vague berry character continues. Not at all skunked or foul, just not particularly interesting, but certainly would qualify as a very good lawnmower beer.

If you can get past the aroma then you might actually like this beer. Smells of mustiness, with a light hoppy taste, but finishes very bland and watery. This is one to pass on.

Just another boring Japanese lager. Watery- very light texture, ricey, corny flavour. Pretty similiar to Asahi, Kirin, Sapporro etc.....

I wasn't expecting much from this Japanese beer. Beer itself was watery, weak flavored. Orion went well with spicy Chinese food, but couldn't hold up on it's own.

Expectations were low, but this turned out ok. I had half a liter, and it disappeared really fast :-). Easy drinkable.

"The beverage was bitter yet sufficiently moist." Quote by Tamamushi Sadao, a member of the mission from the Edo shogunate to the U.S. In May 1957 Okinawa's first beer brewery Orion Beer was established and today it is the 5th beer company in Japan. Industrial lager - bland, but sufficiently moist.
