I like the artwork. To me tasted similar to Asahi with a little more oomph. More malt and hops, but not considerable. It was soft, no off flavors but didn’t pair with my ramen at all. Maybe a little italic.

0,35 ml can. Pours with a large white head that is gone after a few seconds. This beer is very clear, definitely filtered. Not much carbonation. Aroma is faint cookies, with some sweet undertones - probably coming from rice and cornstarch. I can already guess that this is going to be quite watery. Taste is not usual Japanese macro that I actually expected but somewhat milder and softer, with some malt (or rice) sweetness dominating in the aftertaste. Aftertaste itself is pretty short, nothing really special. Drinkable but not too good, I guess it would be nice to have it on a hot beach.

Bottle picked up at New World Birkenhead Auckland. Overall a decent drop not missing any marks for an average easy to drink beer. Sweet, slightly grassy, light bodied and not too carbonated.

Fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is neutral, light malts, rice, hints of hay and yeast. Taste is slightly sour-ish, light malts, grass, citrus, hay. Little bitterness. Weird!

According to their wikipedia entry, Orion became popular when they switched from a German style to an American style. No wonder it tastes like bilge-water. Not a drain-pour, as it was so bland that I could force it down.

Nothing special but actually not all that bad. I had it all the time when I was down in Okinawa. A light lager geared for tropical climes. Paly yellow gold color, white head, decent body and light flavor. Refreshing on a hot day, an ok lager.
