omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 16, 2006 Updated: Nov 17, 2006Bottled (as Orion Premium Beer, 5%) at Monks Café, Stockholm. Lightly hazy pale yellow, brief head. Vague applearoma Sweet and ricey with light body. Soft and very drinkable, butrather void of desired flavours. Some paper shows up in a finish almost entirely without bitterness. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Nov 15, 2006 11/15/06: Bottle. Lemon yellow body with a thick white head that quickly dissipates. Nose is slightly breadie. Flavor is light with a touch of lemon. Not at all skunked… which is always a plus. Rating by style, this is not a bad pale lager. This might not be my favorite style of beer, but after a long day at work it was much appreciated. TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Nov 1, 2006 The bottle says "The Beer Of Beers!". Hehehehe. Imported from Okinawa where the other beers must REALLY suck! biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Oct 17, 2006 Another beer I used to drink while in Marines in Okinawa, Japan. Had one recently to relive some old times. Amazing how much more sophisticated your palate becomes with age. I would venture to say I will never have another. Typical cheap pale lager. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA Sep 28, 2006 633 ml bottle - dull gold hue – white alright head – fresh , and bright nose of sweet corn , bread , and sweet rice - watery , bitter, malt, skunk, hay , grassy , and slight hopps taste - light semi dry body but refreshing - bitter skunk aftertaste VVilliam (50), USA Sep 25, 2006 Bottled - 633ml. Substandard appearance with lots of carbonation and sickly amber hue. The smell was light and crisp with lemon and grass. There was more bite and fizz than expected, but was very refreshing with a light bitter aftertaste. Nothing special, but nothing wrong either. Good for a cold refreshing beer with nothing exciting. wunderbier (1264), Tampere, Finland Aug 23, 2006 A bright golden hue is darker and classier than I expected. Head retention is low--however, while existant, it is a creamy stark white pillow. Immediately striking about the aroma is the actual inclusion of hops; though mild, their grassy presence is quite welcome. Clean and simple bready malt profile shows some honeyed edges. The flavor begins with honey coated white bread sweetness and the finish is rather curt, just a touch of grassy bitterness before a wave of nothing washes the back of my tongue. Surprisingly, this is rather less dry than I was expecting really killing any potential for this to be one of those nice thirst slaking affairs. Just better than watery, the texture ventures into slick territory. Carbonation is perhaps a bit low. As it warms, a sulferous element appears in limited quantity and improves the overall experience to a small degree. Still, there are no glaring flaws with this one, it merely fails to inspire on any level. 633mL bottle, Burgundy glass. radiomgb (1921), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 31, 2006 355ml can brought to me from Japan by friends of my parents. Very pale golden in colour, very thin wispy white head, no lacing, light carbonation visible. The aroma is very grainy, tin and metal, light grassy hops. The flavour is lightly sweet, some grassy and herbal hops, pale malts, cookies, grainy. Full mouthfeel, light body, high carbonation. Finishes gassy, medium length. Better then expected, quite refreshing.
