It’s funny how big brewers often make quite a deep range of pale lagers that really taste within a very narrow flavour range. This beer is a great example; I can’t really pick the difference b/w this, Super Dry and Draft. Middle of the road for the style; crisp, sharp, some corn from the adjunct, but not much in the way of malt and hop character (broken record?).

33cl bottle from Cold Storage, Novena. Japanese rice lager manufactured by Asahi in the pale lager style. Golden pale colour with a small white head which disappears quickly. Medium carbonation. Aroma of malt, bread. Lightly hopped - sweet taste of malt. Light and easy to drink.

11.3 FL oz. bottled at One Flew South, in the Atlanta airport. The pour is clear golden with not much white head. The aroma is cereal grain malt along with a bit of sweet floral. The taste is the clean malt cereal grain along with a nice soft sweet floral. Decent integration of the flavors. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and a clean simple dry finish. Simple straightforward and clean beer, worked well with sushi.

A little mechanical aroma, more metal.. color is fair gold. Taste is sort of breqdy, more bitter than average discount lager. Stands out because can looms weird and its pretty bitter.

Light gold color mild flavor and aroma. Reminds me of a slightly more flavorful lager.

Tap in Naha. Almost no nose to speak of. Light grain and a tiny bit of citrus. Pale golden color. Light, thin, and watery flavor. Almost no flavor either. Not bad, just almost tastes like water. Bit of malt and grain and a tiny bit of bitterness.

Bottle in Okinawa. Dark bubbly yellow. Decent malt nose. Fine body. Mild yeast and hops. Not bad--pairs really with ramen.
