Commercial Description:
"The nose on this beer is ripe and fruity with slightly vinous esters, married to interesting hop notes - the colour of a glorious red ruby wine."

50cl Bottle brought from Scotland, thanks mom & Henk. Almost black in colour, thin off white head. Very light aroma of roasted malts, some coffee, liquorice and cream. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, a hint of caramel, light bitter finish. Thin mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lacks body.

BLack pour with a small dark brown head that dissipates. Aroma of dark fruits and roasted malt. Flavor of dark fruits, some grapes, dirty gas station coffee. A bit of smoked peat. A slight mineral sourness. Thin mouthfeel, low carbonation. Meh.

Huge aroma of sweet coffee and chocolate. Pours almost black with clear ruby edges. Thick rocky tan head. Flavor is more of the same with the emphasis on the coffee- also some caramel. Nicely balanced and clean finish with some coffee aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Dark and sweet with notes of fruit. Seemed a little to sweet but plenty of flavour.

I liked this dark beer. The dark ale pours deep from the brown bottle. The flavor is deep and woody with a taste that reminds me of sauna. A dark chocolate nutty flavor.

Pours a brown so dark it is nearly black. Medium off white head which quickly dissipates. Strong aroma of caramel malts with coffee and chocolate notes. Also has a smokey smell to it as well. Tastes like toasted coffee and a hint of chocolate with a sweet finish. A delicious beer.
