"The colour of a ruby red wine"?? Then I got something else, unless you’re referring to a Cahors. This was nice and black ruby almost like an amethist boiled in molasses (nothing to do with the flavours or scents). I loved the chocolate in the aroma, milky, very much as the Orkney Dragonhead, but now with a touch of capuccinno and the expected peat. Flavours of roasted malts quite strong, on that background of chocolate, with dates, some other fruits (perhaps the figs) and whisky. Still, even though it is stronger than the Dragonhead, it feels thinner. I’d still call it a stout though. I loved the finsih, which danced around my tongue tingle for quite a while, producing generous salivation, somehow giving me a tremendous amount of satisfaction, as it reminded me of Cate Blanchett in "Bandits".
