3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark brown/black with an off white head. Grassy, weedy, licorice aroma. Light dark chocolate, licorice, grassiness, light citrus... A bit messy but OK.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
"the richness of the body and flavor of this beer totally hides the fact that itís only 4% abv. there is chocolate and some smoke on the nose. the feel is rich and very smooth. the finish smooth as well. my friend got way more smoke than i did out of this beer. i thought it was more like a thin bodied milk stout. sweet and tastes like malted chocolate with a hint of smoke. if this came in 6 packs, iíd be drinkiní it lots!"

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Very dark with tan head that dissipated and light lacing. I get chocolate-cherry, tobacco, light play-doh, and roastiness. Nice dry bitter flavor with some coffee on the finish. Heavy on the carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the bottle poured a dark brew with little head. Nice subtle aromas of earthy, roasty malt and a hint of chocolate. Flavor was all the above, a bit dry, with very little hoppyness.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
50 cl bottle from Liviko Alcostore in Tallinn harbour (Ä 3,20), Sept 2014. BB Apr 2016. Pours an extremely dark brown (black in the glass) with a dark tan head that rather quickly drops down, leaving a thin layer and some beautiful lacing. Nose... very distinct Golding hops and roasted malts - to me this is gives off a strange "rubbery British sourness" I cannot seem to get accustomed to. I also get raw cocoa beans. Taste is more roasty with notes of cold coffee and very bitter chocolate. It begins with a medium sweetness, this quickly turns into roasty, more sour than bitter, and finishes with a mellow, roasty (again, rubbery) sourness. Body is light, it has a rather thin but prickly carbonation, palate on the dry side. Maybe Iíll grow to like this sort of stuff when Iím old.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours black with a one finger tan head. Aroma is of dark fruits and smoke. Taste is sweet at first then a bit of coffee and roasted malt. Low ABV kind of hurts this one. Didnít get much better when warmer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark body with Caramel colour head poured into tulip glass.
From fridge: Body and head are both fairly thin with an average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Very faint aroma of beer and mocha. Sweet, dark chocolate flavours battle on the tongue with the more bitter hoppy flavours. (2.5 rating)
Chilled: Taste becomes more rounded as the beer warms. Would recommend letting the bottle warm for ten minutes from the fridge before opening to really get the smoky mocha vibe that makes this beer worthwhile. Body becomes smoother and more aromatic. Beer much more balanced and enjoyable. (3.4, used this rating)
