A black stout which is brimming over with roast malt flavours, balanced with a complex hop blend. Really smooth with roasted aftertaste.

Minimal head. Dark brown hue. Caramel, roast, chocolate aroma, with much more emphasis on chocolate as opposed to roast. Unfortunately doesn’t have a taste to match the appeasing scent. Initially a nice combination of roast, hops, and bitter dark chocolate, but the finish is lacking. Very little flavour, and what does remain is mainly mild roast bitterness.

Dominated mainly by a silky smooth roasted malt start, dark chocolate, thick liquorice toffee and burnt percolated coffee with some dark fruits. Has a bitter chocolate finish that lingers for quite some time after the swallow.

Pours dark auburn, aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste is much the same but it's fairly watery. It's ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours ebony with a solid brown head. Roasted coffee aroma. Chocolate, coffee and smoke flavours. This is really packing a nice punch for a four percenter.

Typical stout pour, dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of malts, coffee, etc. Tastes extremely watery for a stout and is only 4%. Definitely not one I would drink again.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. Small dark tan head disappears quickly, barely any lacing, body is near black. Nose is roasted coffee and nuts, a little sweet fruit. Flavour is coffee, chocolate followed by berries and nuts. Coffee returns on the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for a stout. Medium carbonation. Decent flavour but let down a bit in other areas.

500ml bottle, pours black with a small head, aroma is chocolate and burnt caramel malt, nicely textured with a medium to thin body and a smooth, balanced, slightly bitter finish. Carbonation low to average. Nicely crafted session stout. Good stuff.
