500 ml. bottle. Rich chocolate and malt aromas. Sweet. Opaque brown/black color with a finely bubbled and impressive tan head. Near medium in body with coarse carbonation. Flavor starts with chocolate, merges into coffee, followed by toasted malt, and then back to something like mocha. Cacao is in every sip. The finish tapers off to something smoky scotch malt with a tad of sour. Finishes rather dry, with a little sweet chocolate, and bitter from toasted, burnt malt. Does turn a little watery with time.

Poured black, tan head. Quite a bit of maltyness, some nice roasted notes. There wasn’t a large pallet with this one, but the earthy roast coffee is adequate. Clean finish and very drinkable. I thought this was pretty standard. The unusually low abv doesn’t mean it can not be good. I don’t know if some reviewers here were expecting an Imperial, it is not as bad as some on here say. There is someone who thinks that a tan head on a dark beer is bad? huh?

Bottle. Black pour with a big brown head. Has a nice roasted aroma with a hint of some spice. Roasted flavor becomes burnt, like charred wood, in the bitter finish. If you like your stouts with a burnt flavor (like i do) then this is a good one.

Bottle. Pours very dark with a light brown head. This is a pretty weak stout. Fairly bland, very low abv, light thin mouthfeel. Flavor wasn’t bad though, with some roasted malt and coffee. Pretty watery though.

For sure a cool label, this one sure let me down. Not that it tasted bad really...more just that it didn’t have much of a taste at all. A Stout this one is not, drinks much more like a porter. Does pout a nice looking deep, dark brown with lots of lacing. Flavors are water, water, carmel, cold coffee, dark fruit, and water. At 4% ABV, there isn’t anything here to pack a punch, and very little that even reminds me of a stout; no chocolate, no alcohol, no roasted barley, nothing. Does have a coffee flavor, but it is more like cold coffee than coffee beans, and is diluted by the water. I just didn’t get this one at all.
