2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled, as it’s advertised it is pale, light golden color, with very small white head. Nose is hoppy with vanilla. Aroma is soft hops, sour fruits and apricot. Very thin bodied, even too thin for its kind I think.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Dobbies. Bright gold with a glistening white cap. Floral, soapy aroma; wafts of lemon and lime over pastry; honey-flecked sweetness, sappy dandelion, background almond. Slick and chunky for the ABV in that beguiling Scottish way; chew of unmade lemon and lime jelly; almond sprinkles, soft honeyed white toast, rub of peanut oil; vapid grassiness and thistle. Some quality there, but would have preferred the hops turned up.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 Bottle from Tesco. Revamped label, very well presented. Oaty resin aroma. Pale golden yellow. Dry citrus resin oat flavour. Lively carbonation and fresh bitter aftertaste. Used to love this one, now it is only just good, tastes change.

Flaske 0,5l kjøpt på Centra Colosseum, Oslo. Veldig lys på farge. Litt gulskjær. Lavt luftig skum. Aroma av brød & litt krydder. Smaken dominert av malt. Litt syrlig.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear pale golden colour with a small but persistent white head. Fruity nose. Light-bodied yet full of flavours. Malty background with fruity hints (lemon, orange, passion fruit) and a shy spicy-herbal touch. Thirst-quenching and complex at the same time.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 50cl. Clear pale golden with a nicely remaining lacing white head. Fantastic expressive nose. Wonderfully hoppy with hints of gooseberry, a huge amount of strawberry, dried apricot, lemon peel, sweat and pale malts showing up- suddenly mint and liquorice allsorts emerge. The strawberry component is rather present in the taste too. Nice hop profile. Good bitterness. White pepper, hay, baguette and pear sneaking in. Complex. Licorice and earthy hops showing up on the swallow leading to a dryish finish which is reminiscent of rose and lemon peel. A top notch Golden Ale. I reveled in every sip.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 500ml. -Cloudy orange coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, dusty slight hoppy nose. Sweet malty, lemony hoppy and mild spicy with bready and grassy notes. Not so watery as I’ve expected. Moderate bitter finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
50cl dark brown bottle, completely different from the one pictured (and, yes, the same beer).
Pale, clear golden yellow colour, medium white head that collapses quickly. Generous lacing, though.
Aroma of hops, yeast and lemon.
Medium-bodied IPA, ok mouthfeel, low carbonation.
Taste is medium bitter, with malt and hops eqully present. Some floral notes, a bit spicy, but not much in terms of fruit. Dry, hoppy finish, mildly bitter after taste.
For an IPA the hops aren’t quite strong enough, it feels more like a regular golden ale. Smooth sailing: Quite refreshing, certainly sessionable - but also a tad faceless. I’ve certainly had better blondes, especially at this price tag (€ 3.50 for the bottle).
