2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
CAsk conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Slightly peachy fruit aromas combined with toffeeish malts and butter. All together makes a deserty (peach betty?) sort of feel which I didnt like too much.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First tasted this in the Last Post. Paisley (JDW) in November 2000. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale straw in colour with a thick foam white head. Tart grapefruit peel evident in the long aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a light digestive biscuit base which is soon lost admist the strong overtones of sharp grapefruit and lime fruit long in the mouth. Strong hop presence with lemony, grassy notes in the intense aftertaste. Finish is well balanced with floral hop resins and grapefruit pith present in the mouth. A decent Golden Ale and tastes similair to Houstonís St Peterís Well.
