500ml brown bottle. Deep orange body. Head is light tan, dense, tthick and long lasting. Lots of thick lacing. Nose has sweet malts, a bit of fruit and citrus peels. Taste is pretty hoppy, nice citrus notes, some sweetness and caramel malts, some fruitiness. Finishes hoppy with lasting grapefruity and orange peel like hops. Also a lasting malt note that is a bit earthy and nutty. Light body, mild carbonation. Lots of flavour for a lighter alc beer, and gorgeous in the glass. Overall this is a nicely hopped UK red ale that is richer and hoppier than expected.

Light scent of berries. Bitter and metal with light sweetness in the taste. Weak bitterness that remains far below the upper lip. Not really my beer. The beer feels empty most of the flavor. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Poured into Sam Adams Boston Lager tulip glass with a copper-red hue and pillowy, soft tan head. Notes of vanilla, nuts (butter pecan?), fruit forward hops and toasted malts. Bready, pie crust essence. Flavor is decent: spicy, bitter hops Co-mingle with cracker malts to create a typical but above average "ruby" ale. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A tinge metallic, but its not off-putting. nice balance, lacks that next-level depth but a good beer overall.

Pours a clear ruby red with a white frothy head. Aroma is slightly sour dough bread. Taste is lightly malt with a quick turn to a sharp clean dry bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a ruby red into Sprecher pint glass. My label reads 5.5% ABV. Biscuity aroma with some floral notes. Taste is juicy with a balance of dark cherries, caramel, and toasted biscuit. Finishes with a long and soothing spiciness. Very nice Scottish bitter.

500 ml bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/1/2012. Pours fairly cloudy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big raisin, plum, apple, caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, light roast, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, dark/bready malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of raisin, plum, apple, caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, light roast, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy/peppery bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, apple, caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, light roast, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness fruity/earthy yeast, dark/bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/yeast/hop balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy, and slightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a very nice Scottish ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, dark/bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
