A red beer with a beutiful head. The nose is primarily malty sweet. The flavor is also malty sweet from a good malty blend.

(Bottle 50 cl) A beer that doesn’t promise too much - this is red indeed. Beautiful reddish brown, filtered with a small and vaguely light brown head. Very soft, almost sweetish with pronounced malty notes and a very limited bitterness. Some smoke in there too. Nice. 040904

Well, I’ll mention the peat flavour. It’s there, in Lowland quantities mind you. Otherwise, bright auburn; aroma like a dense forest of Douglas fir, meat pie and Auchentoshan; a little thin & metallic though (has it gone off a bit?); earthy malts, touch of toasted caramel. Finishes to quickly.
